Hi!!

I am looking for book no 11 and can only find 1-5 at FS. Does FS have the others online that I just can't find or maybe can only see at a search center?

Do copies exist at the Kentucky Clerk's Office?

Thanks!

-Carl

Book 11 can be found in the Images section. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHN-LQL6-PSMX?view=explore&groupId=TH-7734-127313-1798-22&grid=on

The Catalog has been locked and not updated for more than 2 full years. These images were updated/put online within the last month.

For this kind of question, the Catalog is your best friend. A search reveals this entry: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/2329826

It appears that there are no books after #5 at FamilySearch, but the Catalog gives you hints as to where physical books might be available.

Another helpful resource is the Research Wiki, which has a page for Jefferson County, Kentucky, that lists a variety of relevant record collections and where they might be found: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Jefferson_County,_Kentucky_Genealogy

@Áine Ní Donnghaile Good job on finding that item that is not yet in the Catalog!

Which is why we keep asking what is happening with the catalog, but we never get an answer.

Wow! Thank you very much Áine!!! I have been at a wall on this relative for quite a while and this record helps put together many pieces.

Alan: Thank you! Those sites had been helpful in my finding of the index. Just ran into a dead end when trying to locate the actual books the index referred to.

    Happy to help @CarlWC2

FYI if you use the URL from the citation box I posted https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHN-LQL6-PSMX you can view the images as if you had found the book through the catalog. I find that viewer much easier to use than the one in Images.

How do you find things that are locked/hidden?

The Kentucky inventory and settlement index lists Bk 11, pg 86 and this one only goes to 61. Wondering if there is a part 2?

Since Book 11 was apparently only uploaded to the website in August, it may still be a work in progress. FS is adding images in smaller batches constantly.
