Family History Center Utah
Hello there,
I‘m a 20 year old girl from Germany and I’m desperately looking for a record of my direct ancestors from East Prussia, Germany. But the only place where they give access to these records is in Utah! And I don’t have the ability to get there anytime soon…
Maybe one of you is at the Center some day and is willing to look out for the following record for me.
It‘s the marriage church book record of my Catholic great great grandparents Bernhard Preuß and Anna Flack (born in 1901 and 1900). They got married in Groß Köllen, Kreis Rößel, Germany.
The record has to be somewhere in film number „1808254 items 2-4“ and I guess they got married around 1920-1926 because the last one is the year their first child was born.
I would love to see all the other records regarding my great grandpa and his siblings as well but the marriage record is the most important because with this, I can find out who their parents were.
Thank you in advance, I’m really grateful for you reading this!
You are my last chance…
Lea

(I burst out laughing at the sign-off: it's So Close to Leia and "you are my only hope". 😆 Thank you for that inadvertent bit of joy in my life.)

You can see it online. https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/show?availability=Family%20History%20Library
Sie können ein kostenloses Konto erstellen und auf den Datensatz für Brenhard Preuß zugreifen, der GL6F-MT5 lautet

@TerrySilva your link goes to a Page Not Found. Are you possibly logged in with an LDS Church Member account?

Thank you for the suggestion but I can only see that the films are available IN the center. Unfortunately the data can’t be displayed online due to data restrictions…

@Lea-Marleen Basinski Perhaps someone in the Germany Research group would have suggestions on other places to look https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/88-germany-research
