Family Tree Person Page broken; just me, or others?
After doing a merge on two records I had been working with, trying to return to the surviving person page came back with a message, "Oops, something went wrong / Please refresh the page". After several attempts to refresh the page, and always getting this same message each time, successively revisited *other* person pages previously visited this session, every time getting the same message. After signing off and re-signing in, and trying other person pages not visited in a long time (including my own -- private -- person page, saw the same outcome every time). After visiting a pedigree page successfully, but unable to visit a person page from the pedigree without getting the "oops" message, concluded that something drastic has gone wrong. Restarted my browser (Firefox), hoping that would help; it didn't. Tried to find a technical support link (or email address), but couldn't find any. Couldn't find a category here for "technical support," so broadcasting this general question. Is this unique to me? If so, how does one reach tech support?

It's not happening to me, nor anyone else judging by the lack of outcry, so it's probably a corrupted saved file (cookie or something in your browser cache). The easy way to test for that is to try a different browser. If it works there -- as I strongly suspect it will -- some housekeeping in Firefox should fix it: go to Settings - Privacy & Security, scroll down a bit and click Manage Data, type "FamilySearch" into the box, click "Remove All Shown", then "Save Changes", and then "Remove" again on the confirmation popup. (How you get to Settings depends on whether you've argued with Firefox about its desire for hiding everything. If you haven't, then Settings is on the hamburger menu. If you have, it's under Tools.)
Once you've done that, you'll need to log in again ('cause you just deleted that cookie), but the person pages should work once more.

The number to call FamilySearch is 866-406-1830. You would want Option 2, Family Tree PaulaAnn

Thank you both!! Ms Szent-Gyorgyi was spot-on where the problem *must* have been. Ms Bulfinch gave me a lead for a contact for the many other frustrations I've had of late; on this problem, I spent much time going 'round in circles trying to find someone to talk about it. And yes, Mozilla presents the same frustrations. Now much better than with FB or Google or X, which are terminally hopeless.
