Getting individual's information back

Hello.

I had an ancestor that I was researching to see if he had a spouse so that I could have the work done.

I reached out to an individual who I noticed had worked on that ancestor and asked her if she know if he had a spouse.

The following week I logged in only to learn the the individual I reached out to had DELETED my ancestor!

Is there a way to retrieve that ancestor's information? Especially the ordinance dates and places.

Thank you.

No person is deleted from the tree. For a record created by a person and not amended by any other person, that person can "delete" the record but it still exists and can be restored.

More normally, a record is "deleted" by being merged (hopefully correctly) with another record. It is likely that this has happened in your case. If you have a note of the PID of the old record (check Recents if necessary), go to it. It should tell you what happened including the PID of the record with which it was merged, assuming that to be the case.
