This new version of familytree is confusing and I prefer much more the option of old version. Please, bring back the option to turn to the old version!

If you are talking about the new Pedigree Tree Views (landscape, portrait, descendants, etc.) please join the group https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/320-tree-pedigree-views to see what has been discussed and share your concerns.

The Person page is way different, but the Details page (which is what you are supposed to use anyway) is mostly the same as it always has been. The biggest difference is that the Life History was moved to the bottom to discourage people from using it for warnings, and they also added a new type of note that always appears at the top of the page, which is used for warnings.

In order to keep up with technology, they have to make changes from time-to-time to FamilySearch. One way that the home page is the same, just click details on your person’s name and you will get directly where their vital information is. You can move things up or down on your person page like the life history. Once you get to know it better, I think it will become as familiar to you as the old version of FamilySearch.

I agree @marcpxt. I thought the old interface was easier visually.

I do like the changes you mention @BraydenGraves . I think more features are needed so that people don’t keep reintroducing the same erroneous information into the tree. But the actual flow of the Details page could’ve stayed the same.

And it’s great that technology keeps evolving, but you can add the new technology on the backend while still keeping the same user interface.

what I really have a hard time with is the search records page. There are too many moving parts now & things popping up everywhere. It’s actually anxiety-producing.

@marcpxt I’m curious what it is specifically that you find confusing about the new site.
