    Alabama death certificates are indexed on FamilySearch, and the images can be viewed at the Affiliate Libraries and FamilySearch Center.

    I don't immediately see those names in the indexes. The record sets are https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1674670 and https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1307888

    What information do you have? Dates, name of father? I'm happy to help, and to get the copies on my next visit to my library, but I don't have much info.

    @ElizabethDaniel1

    The record for Callie is here: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/GLZF-54X

    A couple of ideas:

    • It's generally best to use a woman's maiden name (Callie Rutledge in this case) as the primary name in Family Tree. Then the married name (Callie Wallace) can be entered as an Alternate Name (of type Married Name). This improves Family Tree's ability to find matching records, since it then can easily search for both surnames. You could apply the same principle to Callie's sisters Nellie and Mary as well.
    • There's an Alabama death record attached to Callie's father Tom Rutledge. But it lists his marital status as "Widowed" with a spouse name of "Daisy Rutledge." He has a spouse named "Daisy" who apparently bore him children after the children of Tom and Docia. But the "Widowed" marital status at the time of Tom's death in 1925 doesn't match Daisy's purported death in 1934. You might want to research whether Tom died later, Daisy died earlier, or the Widowed status is incorrect.

    Could this be your Docia, @ElizabethDaniel1? Her middle initial is D, and the date of death matches the date you have for her in the FamilySearch Family Tree.

    Also, the only record I see for Callie Wallace with an October 1943 date is not a death index, but her Social Security Application. October 1943 is listed as the date she applied, not as the date she died. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6KQB-JQBP
