New York petition of naturalization. I have one "in behalf of a child." The mother was the first entry, the father the second and the child, brought from Norway was the 3rd. Should I just index it as a petition for the child and not include parents? Do each separately? Put mom and dad together on one entry and add another entry for child?

The instructions say: "Do not create separate entries for people other than the principal. For example, do not create separate entries for the spouse or children of the principal person."

It sounds like the child would be the principal person in this instance, so the child is the only person you would index.
