Blocked from adding my mom's children
She has 4 kids and I'm pretty sure her niece who works there is behind it as she wants the 60 year old family secret a secret up until I took my DNA test. Us kids were on her profile, now they are gone. You can o ly add spouse NO children? Why? Can you guys look into it fir me. I'm just so tired of doing the right thing when I keep getting fought against just because Linda belongs to LDS.
My Civil Rights are being just about exhausted here on this site.

Perhaps it would help you to understand private versus public profiles in the shared tree. Here's a Help Center article on the topic: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-is-a-private-space-in-family-tree.

So to be direct, if you mother is alive, and 3 living people are working on lines that go through her, all three have to create their own version of her. There will be 3 IDs for your mother. FamilySearch automatically blocks living people from everyone except the person who created it. Your niece is NOT behind this, so don't blame her. If you guys were on your mother's profile that your niece created and she has removed you guys, that is fine. Unless she shows it to you, you will never know. I am extremely limited with what live people I add to the tree and I am careful to never add any information.
The purpose of FamilySearch is to work on deceased people. Add only the necessary live people to get to the deceased one.

I just remembered another possible source of confusion: the system will allow you to enter a profile without a gender, but if you do, you can't attach a spouse or child to that profile.
