Merge person
I have at least 3 "person" entries for myself and cannot figure out how to merge these to one entry. The additional person was created because when I entered my name the search option did not find my original entry. Also, it would be wonderful to have a way to remember the number of a person over multiple searches.

Since you are living, you will only see the entry you made for yourself. If others in your family are active on FamilySearch, they may have created entries for you that only they can see.
While you are living, it is not possible to merge those records. Once you are deceased, the records can be merged by a survivor.
The FamilySearch Family Tree entries for the living are protected for reasons of personal privacy.
If you have multiple entries for yourself that YOU created, then you likely have more than one account on FamilySearch.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile gave the correct answer for living persons created using different FamilySearch accounts. Such private records simply can't be merged across accounts.
@MerleCrowe But if you have multiple person entries that you have created with the same FamilySearch account, you can merge them. Just go to the person page for one of the persons and then use the Merge by ID feature (located in the Tools box near the bottom of the right-hand side of the page). Living persons will not ever be shown as possible duplicates for you to merge, but you can always merge them using Merge by ID.
Note also that living persons are not shown in search results when you are trying to find a person in Family Tree, so be careful not to draw any conclusions based on the absence of a living person in those search results.
