Two Different Number Counts for an Uploaded GEDCOM.

Where is the place where you see the larger number? What is the search request you are doing?
The one file I currently have uploaded:
Shows 26 people. But if I search in that tree:
I only get 23 because there are three living people in the file. Are you sure that is not what you are seeing?

I will check the living people count vs the total count, but I don’t think that’s the issue.
When I get on my computer I’ll send a screenshot of the page with the larger number.
Thanks

I've taken some screen shots to show here for clarification.
I don't think that the Living people, above, is part of the issue.
Here's the total Person Count, above.
When I click on "SEARCH THIS SUBMISSION" on the above screen. It takes me to the below screen, which shows the 11,096 "Results" number near the top left of the screen.
It's probably not a big deal or problem, but I would like to know where that number comes from.
Thanks,
Sandy

I know that if I use Search - Records without filtering for a particular event, it'll often list the same index entry two or three times -- once for the principal, once for a parent or spouse, and possibly again for another parent or other person indexed. Search's count is therefore mostly useless unless I get highly specific (births/baptisms only, within this decade, with these parents, on this film). This is pure speculation, but I think it's possible that the discrepancy in Genealogies is due to a similar situation: perhaps some people are getting counted more than once, because they have multiple spouses, or multiple sets of parents (biological and step, for example), or something along those lines.
As you said, it's not a highly important question, but it does make one wonder.

I do see the same numbers you do:
So you are right that it has nothing to do with living people in the file. I haven't the faintest idea what could be going on.
