Search Bar on open record

Can you include a search bar on a record that is open on FS?

For example: I'm on the Minnesota Census Record Indexes 1880. I have found and attached the source for George Schmidt. I would like to search the record for possible relatives. If there was a search bar on the record I could search for other Schmidts or Moldenhans (his wife's maiden name) without having to exit the record.

This would make it easier to find other people's names on a specific record without losing that record when I start a new search.

Thank you for all you do.

I'm not sure what concept you're using the word "record" for here: that specific image? That film or image group? That collection?

To find out what else is on a specific image, you can simply look at the image, or at the image index tab at the bottom of the old viewer (reached from the catalog or the waypoints: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GYB4-93QG?i=20), or the image index side panel on the new viewer (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GYB4-93QG?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMZ9Z-NJ4&action=view).

There are various ways to find out the film or image group number and then to use that in Search - Records to restrict your search to that particular set of images. One way is to go to the index detail page for an entry from the relevant group, expand the Document Information in the left-hand column, and click the Digital Folder Number. The best way to get to the index detail page depends on where you're starting. If you're on the person's profile, you can open his Sources (either the separate tab, or the side panel on the Details page), click the title of the relevant source to expand it, then click the URL.

There are likewise multiple ways to achieve a search results list filtered to a particular collection, such as the 1880 U.S. Census. If you've already done a search, you can click the "Collection" filter bubble at the top left of your results list and choose the collection(s) in the resulting side panel. If you don't currently have a search open, you can choose Search - Records from the top menu, go down to the Find a Collection section, and type some part of the collection title (such as "1880 Census") until you can find and select the appropriate collection from the list. That'll take you to the collection's landing page, with search fields.
