There's a banner that the 2 people can only be merged by using KWZS-ZMQ as the surviving profile, merging away L1HF-3WZ.

That is what we are trying to do and it will not allow the merge.

    Yes Continue

    After Yes Continue we

    Continue

After continue we (A reason for the merge is added.)

    Finish Merge

This is the message we continue to get

The merge request has failed. Please try again.

I've been to the Family Search Library and they could not figure out why...

There must be a living child that is connected to both sets of parents. If the two mothers are merged, then the relationship of the child to the parents would be duplicated, and that is not allowed.

This is the kind of thing that an administrator in Support can fix, but regular people can't. And it's tricky enough that helpers in the FamilySearch Library might not be aware of what's going on and how to fix it.

Now if you happen to be the person who can see that living child (the child is in your private space), then you can fix the problem yourself by detaching the child from the L1HF-3WZ mother. Then the merge should work. That's assuming, of course, that no other user happens to also have a living child attached to both sets of parents.
