Adding LDS membership number via family tree mobile app

Adding membership information can only be done on the website.
The apps were never intended to provide all functionality that is on the website, but rather to focus on the features that are most commonly used and can reasonably be implemented on the mobile apps. Adding membership information to an existing account is something that a relatively small number of people ever do, and those who do it only need to do it once. So it's probably not considered to be worth the effort to add to the mobile apps.

Thanks for the prompt response.
Although I understand your answer, there may be many new converts from within our marginalized communities that don't have ready access to a PC. Their phone is their only access point.
For most of us having a mobile app to go along with our website should probably be considered a luxury. But the rest of the world may only have their phone.
In your view they may be small in number, but isn't it vital that our newest members should have this function as easily as the rest of the world?

I appreciate your passionate support for new members. I certainly understand that they might have only a smartphone and no computer. But they can use the browser on their smartphone to access the website and do this one-time task of adding their membership info to their FamilySearch account. The app isn't the only available way to access FamilySearch.

And aside from the phone browser, there are computers available in meeting houses & FamilySearch Centers. It's a quick thing to login & enter the MRN. Any clerk or T&FHC would be happy to assist. I don't know for sure, but I bet one could call FS Support and get that task accomplished by a phone call?
