I'm a missionary serving in Peru. The local RS president has been locked out of her account. She doesn't have access to the familysearch app. Computers are rare in Iquitos. I want to help her unlock her account, but all I know how to do is call the help desk.

Thank you

If she has forgotten her FamilySearch username and password, another option is to use her Church Account username and password to sign in to the app. Just tap on the Church logo icon to start the sign in process, rather than entering the FamilySearch username and password.

@Alan E. Brown, I'm pretty sure that by "She doesn't have access to the familysearch app", Wendy meant that the person doesn't have a smartphone and/or data plan.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi I don't read it that way. Clearly she is trying to sign in to either the app or the website. Given that computers are rare in that part of Peru, it seems to me that she must have been talking about using a smartphone.

But in any case, whether the attempt to sign in was on the app, or on the website on either a smartphone or a computer, my answer is still helpful. Using Church account to sign is a good way for her to get past problems with a forgotten FamilySearch password.
