Process Recommendations
Dear Brothers/Sisters,
After retiring from a business environment where quality was addressed through regular process review and training, my recent experience in requesting the reservation of ordinances for individuals falling within the 110-year rule prompts me to offer the following comments and recommendations:
Backlogs are a strong indication of the need for process improvement.
Timely acknowledgements improve communication.
Recommend the following:
- Review and restructure the intake process to properly categorize requests with regard to a) those needing permission from a living close relative; and, b) those requiring proof that all close relatives are deceased.
- Review and formalize the validation process for assuring all close relatives are identified and their status accurately ascertained.
- Respond to communications in a timely manner.
