Process Recommendations

Dear Brothers/Sisters,

After retiring from a business environment where quality was addressed through regular process review and training, my recent experience in requesting the reservation of ordinances for individuals falling within the 110-year rule prompts me to offer the following comments and recommendations:  

Backlogs are a strong indication of the need for process improvement.

Timely acknowledgements improve communication.

Recommend the following:

1. Review and restructure the intake process to properly categorize requests with regard to a) those needing permission from a living close relative; and, b) those requiring proof that all close relatives are deceased.  
2. Review and formalize the validation process for assuring all close relatives are identified and their status accurately ascertained.
3. Respond to communications in a timely manner.
