Why does FamilySearch no longer connects to Ancestry or other sites?
When I hit the link I am told to pay or sign in. The LDS sign in does not work. I checked my permissions and they show approval of all partner sites.

Could you provide more details about what you mean by "I hit the link"?
I frequently use Ancestry. Typically I begin at the profile page for some ancestor, and then I click on Ancestry in the Search Records box. That takes me to Ancestry.com, with details from that ancestor prefilled in a search on Ancestry.com. If I am not signed in to Ancestry, I need to sign in there to see full search results. Note that with Ancestry you have always needed to use your username and password that you registered with Ancestry -- you've never been able to use Church Account (formerly called LDS Account) to sign in. If you're unable to sign in to Ancestry, I'd recommend that you go through Ancestry's password recovery process.

@KayWatt Please call FamilySearch 866-406-1830. We have a team of FamilySearch missionaries that deal with this problem. Whatever missionary receives the call will refer you to them. They generally call within 24 hours and have the problem straightened out right away. Frontline missionaries used to be able to take care of this but no longer. PaulaAnn
