Add the Netherlands in the list of countries for groups

When I want to search for a group in Europe, the Netherlands is missing in the list. There is a group for Belgium & the Netherlands, but I can't filter on the country.

Can you add the Netherlands to the pull-down menu at LOCATION in the Groups page (in region EUROPE)?

I'm a little surprised at your suggestion, after seeing you seem to be already aware of the existing group that covers Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. Perhaps you are thinking it would be much easier to find if the title did not begin with "B". However, there is probably a case for reducing some of the existing groups (e.g., I would be quite happy with a "British Isles" one instead of also having groups for the constituent countries of Great Britain), especially as many are rarely used.

In the case of the need for a separate Netherlands (only) group, I notice the current one (for the three countries) has had only ten posts initiated since the beginning of June - half of which relate to "Dutch" / Netherlands queries.

So, whilst you seem to be arguing for even more groups (well, at least one more, specifically!), I'm afraid I have been arguing (over the past year or so) for a possible reduction of such.

@Paul W , I don't think the request is for more groups. Rather, when you are looking at the Research Groups tab, there is a filter called "Location". It only works if you have selected a Region (such as Europe). But even then, most countries in that dropdown list don't seem to work. I'm guessing that most of the country-specific research groups don't have the proper metadata to match the Location filter.

Sure, it would be nice to add more countries to that list, so that you could find the Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg group by filtering on any of those 3 countries. But at this point, even filtering on Belgium as a Location fails to find that group, so adding more countries to the Location dropdown won't help now.

To my thinking, that whole filter system is overkill (even if it worked properly). The simple search by name works fine now, given that there aren't all that many groups in existence.
