Align Tree Events and Attributes with GEDCOM 7
I am curious if you have plans to update your FamilySearch Tree feature so that it fully supports the GEDCOM specification you published in Feb. 2023. In particular, the list of standard Event Tags, both individual and family, offered in FamilySearch are quite different from GEDCOM. I believe in the value of GEDCOM standard, and it offers much more than the current Event Tag list in the Tree feature. I would love to see FamilySearch's Tree become the standard bearer of full adherence to GEDCOM which will show all the other software vendors that you are seriously standing behind your own standard.
Regards,
Tom

Except FS's Family Tree has no relation to the GEDCOM standard: it offers no native mechanism for downloading such a file, and only a badly-flawed and ancient tool for uploading one.

Except FS's Family Tree has no relation to the GEDCOM standard...
But the Data Model implied by the GEDCOM standard(s) could have a relation to the Data Model implied by FS Family Tree.
In fact, there was a concept called "GEDCOM X" proposed by FamilySearch - perhaps as a response to the BetterGEDCOM initiative. We were told by FS that "GEDCOM X" would form the basis of the API to the (then) emerging FS FamilyTree. I've never been convinced that was the case simply because of the timing of the two projects (FS FT surely started before GEDCOM X?) And I remember several of us spending ages convincing the GEDCOM X guys that Names should be dated. That concept appears to have vanished into thin air - it's certainly not in FS FT that I can see from my side of the screen.
So I think there's scope for a comparison between FS FT and GEDCOM 7 that assesses compatibility. Yes, we won't be loading GEDCOM files, but surely if data concept XYZ is sensible for one, then it ought to be sensible for the other?
