Ordinance Ready
We have found so many are simply "grabbing names" to take to the temple without:
Correct and complete vital information verified or added
Analyzing family relationships
Reviewing sources
Duplicates being resolved
Seeing if needed ordinances are already done ( including the work for parents and/or spouses that they are to be sealed to)
Notice the first letter of each spells out CARDS. If this message was attached so as to invite people to follow up on CARDS first there would be less errors and hopefully a bit more connection between the person doing the work and the family member they are doing the work for. Thank You,
Robert Davis

I use Ordinance Ready frequently just to find some people to work on ... and their associated line. I always check to confirm a relationship; which a few times I get unrelated people.
I enjoy cleaning up records, before taking them to the Temple ... completing dates and places in "Standard Format", completing full names, adding spouses - siblings, etc....
I will "complain" a little ... e.g., out of 10 "Sealing to Parents" there will always be 2 or 3 which are NOT READY!!! I can in most cases resolve the issue -- e.g., duplicates in mother or father - but in a few cases I can't and do not have the sources to resolve the issue -- HENCE, RESPECTFULLY - the Ordinance is NOT Ready!!!

According to current policy:
- A deceased husband and a wife can be sealed together before you do their individual ordinances. Deceased persons can be sealed to parents, even if the parents’ prior ordinances are not complete. Only perform the parents’ ordinances if you are related.
As long as the ordinances are provided through Ordinances Ready, they are considered ready and can be completed.
Regarding the concerns posted in the staring post here, it certainly would be ideal if the original researcher who entered information on his or her family did completely research the people before reserving and sharing them with the temple. It would also help if people who just wander through the tree looking for green icons to reserve and share with the temple would take a look at the profiles and complete needed research first. But there have always been the people whose primary interest is researching and the people whose primary interest is just going to the temple. So I doubt there is any simple way to force people to do things they just don't want to do.
