Film # 102624660 Indexed Incorrectly
This film containing German parish records has been indexed as single pages when in fact the records are two pages. Here is what the image should be:
As you can see, the verbage runs across both pages. Here is how the children in these baptisms were indexed with only the 2nd page:
The child is given the mother's surname, because the father is always on the first page:
This child should be Christian Dudek, son of Matthias Dudek and Regina Theschendorf. Birth date is also wrong since birth date is on the first page. Place of residence is also on the first page.
As I spot checked the rest of the film (377 images), some were indexed with only the first page, so there were fathers, but no mothers:
This was brought to my attention when someone asked for my help because their great grandfather was "totally messed up". Someone had found this indexed record for "Christian Theschendorf", added the source and changed the name in the tree. It was not the person's fault. This record makes it appear Christian was an illegitimate child born to Regina Theschendorf. PLEASE remove this indexed record collection before any more harm is done to the tree.

Many older books were filmed with all the lefts filmed together and then all the rights filmed together.

One more thing, in the above example Christian Czolbe is probably one of the witnesses, not the child being baptized.

I do not envy anyone needing to research in these records: some of them have the rectos on a different film than the versos! (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/98274?availability=Family%20History%20Library) -- and those separately-filmed sides were apparently all indexed, and the index-to-image associations are off by (at least) one, and it's all in That Dratted Handwriting.
The index entries I looked at all had publication dates of October 2021, so I'm afraid the index is highly unlikely to get fixed by FS at this point, but perhaps it would be good to at least put something in the Wiki?

Rats! I thought it was just that film, but now I see it might be the entire Freystadt Record Collection. They need to remove all the searchable indexes for this collection. What you get when you search is false information.
