I would like to report error in the "Italy, Toscana, Civil Registration (State Archive), 1804-1874

In the "Pisa" region, Bagni San Giuliano collection, under "Nati" 1865, there are two entries: One, registro 1474, and the other, registro 1382. The "1382" is actually a MARRIAGE record.

Hi @DIANNELATHEN. Would you know the url of a specific page or have a link to the record set in question?

@Maile L Access is limited so I can't see it tonight to verify, but I think the OP is referring to Film 1137361 DGS 5189891.

@DIANNELATHEN The labeling error does exist, but it is not a FamilySearch issue - Antenati has unrestricted access to those records, and they also describe Registro 1382 as Nati, when it is clearly consists of Parish Marriage records. Antenati appears to be in control of how these registers were labeled and FS is just importing their descriptions. You can find these unrestricted registers for 1865 here: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/search-registry/?localita=bagni%20san%20giuliano&s_facet_query=anni_is%3A1865

Remember that all of these registers shown in the above link are not civil records, but parish records, organized by Parish, then by month with each parish/month having a cover page within the register. Also, no soft index appears either in the front or the back of the registers, so you'll have to flip through the pages to find what you're looking for.

    I hope this helps you.

It is actually the opposite. Antenati gets its record indexing information from FamilySearch and it's all done by volunteers on the FamilySearch website. Although you can report an incorrect indexing to Antenati (redazione.antenati@beniculturali.it), the site (https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/the-site/faq/?lang=en) tells you that to add to the available record indexing you must do so through FamilySearch.

@Cousin Vinny Thanks Vinny! I am wondering how to correct a Reel Labelling error - this is really not an indexing error per se, it's just that Registro 1382 says Nati when it isn't. Do you think that link is also for this kind of error reporting?

If the error is a FamilySearch catalog labeling error, the procedure is to submit the details via email to Books@familySearch.org.

@DIANNELATHEN I verified that the waypoints list a marriage register as a birth register. This is only found when browsing the Toscana Civil Registration collection and drilling down (Civil Reg>Pisa>Bagni San Giuliano>Nati1865 (Registro 1382). Registro 1382- Matrimoni Abbadia San Salvatore - Bagni San Giuliano 1865 is film 005189948 and Bagni San Giuliano starts at image 990 of 1239.

When you report the problem to the email books@familysearch.org, please include the information above to your report. Thanks.
