Hi I am trying to figure out how to write out the names of people when indexing.

It always helps to share your batch code when asking a question. That allows the person trying to give assistance the opportunity to look at your batch and see exactly what you are working on.
The batch code is the group of letters and numbers at the end of your batch title, something like MX7P-QW3.
If you post the code here with your question someone will be able to give you an appropriate answer.🙂

Under Alias Names of the General Indexing Guidelines in the Project Instructions:
If alias names were included on a document, or if an individual's name was listed with various spellings on the document, include all variants, separating each with the word Or. For example, if a name was written as "Georgios (George), George Broski, George Browzowski, or George Brzozowski," index the name fields as follows:
- Given Name: Georgios Or George
- Surname: Broski Or Browzowski Or Brzozowski

I agree with erutherford... Always share the share batch link for the batch in question for Indexing questions. The link is better to share than the code.. It makes less steps for someone to open the batch.
But, Indexing Guidelines for names...
- Include all variants of the same person's given name or surname contained on the document..
- If there are two or more names and one is crossed out, do not index the crossed out name.

Crossed out information is indexed in certain situations. From General Indexing Guidelines:
When information was crossed out, corrected, canceled, or marked void, follow the instructions for “crossed out” that match the situation.
When information was crossed out and then replaced, type the new information in the appropriate fields.
When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and can be read, type the crossed-out information. When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and cannot be read, mark the field as unreadable by pressing Ctrl+U, or on the indexing toolbar, click the (question mark) icon.
