Creating a new account but different IDs were assigned
Hi, I was trying to merge two IDs of my wife in FamilySearch but in vain. So, I deleted her original FamilySearch account and create a new one for her hoping she could also do her genealogy under her account. But the system gave her and connected persons including me with a new IDs. I wonder if it is a system bug for two or more household members creating their own FamilySearch accounts, or if there is another way that I can help her open a new account for her with correct ID. Since different IDs created for the same person causing confusion and duplication, I hope FamilySearch can find a way to correct this issue. Many thanks!

FamilySearch assigns a separate ID for every living person in each account. This is to protect privacy, and there is nothing to correct. So your ID for your wife will not be the same as her ID for herself. You can't use her ID for any living person, and she can't use your ID for any living person. So it's also impossible to merge your ID for your wife with her ID for herself.
