Can you help me decipher a name?
I am struggling with a name on US—Bureau of Land Management Tract Books, 1800–1955 [Part F][MQH3-HG9]. The given name is Adam but the surname I just can't decipher. Here is a screen shot of the name that's difficult:
Please notice that the name on the left is repeated at the right, so there are two opportunities to view it. The first letter seems to be A but what follows?

my guess is Jyllard or Zyllard

It looks like the person writing the name wasn't sure about it either, looks slightly different on the right and left sides.
It looks like Adelard to me but I am not sure. you could use an * between the A and the l.
Hopefully someone who recognizes the name will speak up.🙂

Or Julard or on the right Jularde?

Could also be Adam Hillard - I would index the Surname as *ard

Thanks, everyone! I went back and checked the document every hour or so and finally saw it with "new eyes" and realized the name is Adam G Ward!! You can see a similar W in other names on the document. I was able to find Adam G Ward in a FamilySearch Search and that helped me confirm I was getting the right name.
I just love this detective work!
