how can I access and print a list of PIDs of my ancestors?

If you really mean strictly ancestors, then your fan chart might be easiest. It'll involve three clicks for each person: click the person's wedge to bring up the summary card, then click the PID on the summary card, then click the "Copy ID" popup. Then paste the ID into a file in your favorite text editor. (It'll probably work best if you generate a name-list from your software records, and then add IDs to it.)

If you use Family Tree Maker, it downloads each PID in the profile.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why not simply use Family Tree Tools and print a Pedigree Chart, and Family Group Records? The PID's are included on the reports.

I could do that, but if there are any duplicate names, would all PID numbers appear on the same family group sheet? I'm trying to keep track of my original PIDs in case someone duplicated or merged their relative by mistake.
