Revision to 110-year Rule
I would like to suggest that there be a category or holding file (similar to shared ordinances) where patrons can submit names of those who have been born within the last 110 years. There would have to be documentation that most research has been done and/or that the patron is a relative. The names would still be available for research in case additional information came forth or a living descendant was discovered. If no amendments were made, then the person would automatically roll over to "shared ordinances" at the 110-year mark.

If you have permission from a close living relative to do the work, why would you hold on to it until they reach 110 years? Why would you not just get the temple work done?
If you don't have permission, you can add the person to a calendar to notify you when they turn 110 years and then do the temple work at that time.

Somebody else could beat you to it when that person got permission and do it.
Otherwise leave at 110 year mark.
I've found some marked deceased and not yet 110 years and no death date, found to be living and had them reported as living.
