Mother entered as Father and Father entered as Mother

I was trying to attach a record, however when it was indexed the mother was entered as a Male and listed as the Father, while the father was entered as a Female and listed as the Mother. I do not want to attach the source in its flawed state. How can this be fixed?

enter the url of the record so we can see if it is editable

Unless the new "edit everything" tool has been applied to the collection, sexes and roles are probably not editable. However, this should not prevent you from attaching the index entries to the correct profiles; you can make a note about the errors in the index in the Notes/Description fields of the resulting sources.

(Keep in mind that despite the way FS -- and all of the other online genealogy sites -- treat it as primary, the index is not actually the data. It's just a computer-parseable pointer at the data.)

Most of the indexes that we've discussed, with reversed parent/spouse roles, are imported indexes, not created by FamilySearch but by an outside party.
