Infinite loop of couple as both parents and children
Edit: Ok I deleted the incorrect relationship and things seem ok although now a brick wall exists. Thanks!
See the attached screen shot. You may have to zoom in a bit because I wanted to capture what is happening. Bernard Knott L2MK-36G has the same person as father and son, which causes the relationship to continue indefinitely as a non ending loop. What causes this? (it appears to begin at 9V6H-PY1, by the way). More importantly, the fix? I supposed I could go to the first instance of Bernard Knott L2MK-36G that has his son and son's wife attached as his parents, and then delete the parent relationships???

It happens so often that there is a Help Article on how to resolve.

Hi Gail - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about looping genealogy. Here is a link to the help article referred to by Aine Ne Donnghaile.
You are right about going to the person page for the first instance and correcting the relationships. Then work your way back each generation making sure the relationships are correct. The pedigree views are just a reflection of what is on the person pages. If there is something wrong on you pedigree view, it is because there is something wrong on one or more person pages. And the person pages are where you have to go to fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Áine Ní Donnghaile Ok, so that article said to do what I thought. Delete the first incorrect relationship. Done. Sigh.

I guess Wayland didn't like my link to the same article. BTW Wayland, Gail isn't new here - 5 stars mean we have been here a while.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile It is not that I didn't like your link, I just didn't realize you had put a link in until after I posted. How do you do that link like that, I only know the way I did it. Yes I realize Gail has been here many times. The reason I included a little more information/background is for others who may see this post when they search for answers to problems. I think it is useful to know that any problems on the pedigree views are because of problems on person pages.
