Why can't I read posts of which I have just been notified?

    I've gotten that a few times lately, too, Paul. Sometimes, but not always, the notification seems to be running ahead of the system because a short wait or a refresh will display the comment.

    Sometimes, I seem to get notified when a Mod (or the System) has moved a comment to a different location, perhaps combining multiple threads. It takes the system a little time to process, and then I can find it again.

    @Áine Ní Donnghaile

    Thank you for the response. Hopefully a moderator will be able to confirm the position with these two particular items, which I still cannot access. One definitely does appear to have been the subject of being combined with another thread, however.

    It may be that there is a disconnect because discussions were merged or edited in some way. I know both posts you show had recent edits.

    Funnily enough, I just received a "site cannot be reached" notice when I clicked on the notification that you had commented in this thread, @Maile L

    Well, that's weird.

    I had a second thought. When I merge discussions, there are often system posts which need to be removed. I wonder if you are clicking on the link to the last thing posted and that was the system comment. 🤔
