How can i find the birth registration for my paternal great grandfather?

Hello all, i am looking for the birth registration for my paternal great grandfather his name was Jose Brigido Medrano i was able to find his baptism on the images for births without index. the baptism took place in cedral on november 18, 1928. he was born in october 8, 1928 in santa teresa which is located in cedral. i have both of his parents their names were Francisco Medrano born 1891 and Atanacia Hernandez born around 1900. any help with finding this is greatly appreciated. i tried looking but no luck.

Yes, if you post to either of those groups previously mentioned, someone would have been able to help you.

Basically, you need to look first for the location, Cedral, in the catalog. You find that it has church records, and indeed, there are bautismos for 1928 online. They are not indexed. Consequently, you have to page through the book to the end of 1928 and find the entry chronologically.

And here is a snapshot of the relevant information. It is unusual that the priest made an additional note at the right about his later marriage in 1953.

That rather depends on what country "Cedral" and "Santa Teresa" are in. Based on what you've posted, I can't even figure out which continent we're talking about.

But regardless of the location, a 1928 birth record is highly likely to be too recent to be publicly available.

Its san luis potosi mexico. Cedral is a municipality and santa teresa is a populated place within it.
