Indexing German in Russia death record
While indexing Rußland, St. Petersburg—Evangelisch-Lutherisches Konsistorium, Kirchenbücher, 1833–1885[MSSZ-Z23], a death record for 1875, sometimes a birth date is listed with the birth place. Should the birth be listed as a separate entry?
Thanks, Elaine

Thank you for sharing your batch @EVollmer1
No, a separate record would not be created to capture the birth year. We only index the information that pertains to the type of record on the image. In this case, the death is recorded and the researcher will be able to see the image and that it also contained a birth year.

FYI Maile, In the past when I've indexed German indexing, the Indexing category sends me to the German Group. Thanks for leaving the reminder, though, for most indexing queries.

Sorry, Maille! I just noticed the top of the page and it was INDEXING community.
