RootsTech - Find Relatives

If you sent them a message (using FamilySearch messaging) or added them as a contact, then you will still have a way to view your relationship to them. However, the permissions for viewing relationships to another living person are different. For RootsTech, everyone who joined Relatives at RootsTech gave permission to share their name, portraits, and ancestors, so no additional permission was required.
But to view your relationship to a contact or the contributor of a message or any change on FamilySearch, you both have to have enabled relationship viewing. You can enable relationship viewing under Settings | Permissions, or via the popup that appears when you click on a contact/contributor name. And if you have enabled relationship viewing, but the other person has not, the contact popup has a link for sending them a request to enable relationship viewing.
Now that Relatives at RootsTech has ended, you no longer have access to the lists of your relatives. So if you didn't save a connection to another participant via Messaging or Contacts, you have no way to identify them and so you're out of luck until you both participate in Relatives at RootsTech 2024.
