South Africa Dutch Church Records "What to do about a Chronic Malicious Abuser doing Indexing"
I went back to late April to see if anyone else has experienced an indexer who is maliciously, or annoyingly, putting false name data in Marriage Records. Nobody has addressed this on the Forum so I am bringing it up.
The most recent Batch is [M3FL-CM5]
A different type of Marriage Batch [M3FL-CFX]
Another type of Marriage Batch [M3FL-ZS5]
I have left all the data that the indexer entered so that you could see what he/she is doing. The person is entering the Bride's given name as the Groom's given name, then enters the Groom's given name as the Bride's given name.
It is being done on ALL types of Marriage Records in this Project. I have repeatedly, in the last couple of days, returned them to be Re-Indexed for Malicious Abuse of records. I use the Labs tab under Help. I have returned between 30-40 since Saturday.
Yes. I could easily correct the names, but since these are done on purpose, I hope this person will be contacted by Family Search. We have been advised to not re-index them if we are primarily reviewers. This takes up time that is better spent reviewing.
I do not know any other way to contact the Indexing Dept to report this. Any suggestions?

@Maile L is a mod here. Maybe she can help with this issue.

I recall a couple of threads about an apparent malicious indexer. Or, at least, the cat walked across the keyboard and no one caught it before the index went live.
We don't seem to have a mod assigned to Indexing, but @Maile L or @Stephanie V. should be able to help get this info to the correct department.

@Maile L or @Stephanie V. Two of the above commenters thought either one or both of you may have an idea about what to do about my issue with a recent indexer who insists on putting wrong information on Marriage Records in the above batches. I have not returned them yet so that others might see what's going on. Other reviewers must also have gotten these adulterated indexed batches. Any ideas? Mary
