Can the Family Tree please display multiple marriages ? I have a son by my first marriage but he won't display in the tree when I have my current marriage set as Preferred, unless I add him to my wife as a step son.

What view are you talking about? The person page for you will list all your spouses and children by each of them. He will be there for under your previous marriage. The pedigree view (horizontal) will indicate where there are multiple spouses.

With my own relatives, I always add a step relationship with there was a relationship between the 2 parties. I also add a step relationship even when there was NO relationship when I want to show a marriage of a birth father or mother. I do that with birth parents of my adopted relatives when the birth parents never married each other but married others.

You may have to design a few pedigree charts and submit them to show how this would work graphically.

I would like to clarify one part of your idea, however, what generates the appearance of the pedigree charts is not marriages at all. It is the person's parents. It isn't the preferred marriage that necessarily set the view, but rather the preferred parents.
