Error in indexing instructions

Hello Samantha, hopefully my frustration with no projects did not come through too harshly. Things have been much better lately, although still not very good. This past month there have always been more than two projects available, and I have been working on the Oklahoma school records and the Virginia birth records mostly. I still look forward to seeing some more grantor/grantee records from states other than New York. Please know that if any of my words offended, I'm sorry. I will try to be more careful in the future.
Also, please look at the project instructions for the Oklahoma, Pawnee county school records. The third sample has an error in the indexing. One child was born in 1943, but the indexer recorded the date the sample was signed to be 1924. Check it out! I was stunned! I have never seen an error like that.
Again, thanks for your help!

Hi Don! I saw your name come across my notifications and wondered if it was you. And it was! I understand the frustration around indexing projects. I wasn't at all offended. There just aren't as many as we used to have for easy indexing and when we get them, they go fast. I can recommend that you give Get Involved a try. Right now there is a name review project for Spanish records. Because it is names, it's pretty easy for anyone to review them, even us English speakers. You should give it a try!
I will let the indexing team know there is an error in the instructions.
Sam 😊
