Provide links to maps with distance between locations
I was able to resolve several parent-child relationship errors by looking at a map. Within the same time frame, some of the children were born in one city and some in another city 25 miles away. This was in the 1600's when easy transportation was not available. It became obvious that these were two separate families.
Of course, there is a map with the time line to do this. What was most helpful was to know the distance between the two cities, which is not available with the time line map. It would be helpful to have this feature.
It would also be nice to have links to maps from any location description in FamilySearch. And, if multiple locations were selected, to provide the distance between.

It's not as direct as you're envisioning, but FS does have the Places tool (https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/), which can show the changing jurisdictions applicable to places. (If they're in the database, that is.) It doesn't measure distance; you have to use something like Google Maps for that.

Didn't know that map existed. Thanks for sharing. It would be good if a link to that map was in the header (top of page) in FS.
