Hints - Why showing hints that are already connected?

That is the correct answer. You will be shown hints in the Hints list for any records for your relatives that are not attached to them. It doesn't matter if the records are attached to other people -- the key point is that FamilySearch determined that a record is a match for your relative and that record is not attached to that relative. You need to look into it. You may find that it doesn't apply to your relative (mark it as "not a match"), or that it does apply to your relative but not the other (detach it from the other person), or that the two people are actually duplicates of each other (need to be merged). All those possibilities lead to actions that will improve the quality of the data in Family Tree.
