I took a break from indexing Virginia birth records, a very difficult to read (faded, etc even after adjusting the contrast) batch that was given two days to index. When I went back, the batch was removed already. I've indexed batches before that allowed me to index the afternoon the batch was to be removed. What time of day do they go away? This was only the early afternoon and I had only 10 more names to do. Very disappointed.

    Batches expire at midnight GMT.

I had one of those vanish on me a couple of days ago. I was almost finished but wasn't paying attention to the expiry date. That project has a pretty short working time.

Someone else will be really happy to finish those batches for us so our work will not be lost.🙂
