Please show Chinese names with both the Chinese and Roman Characters
I am working on my Chinese family line and this is a big concern I have. We have the spelling of the names with both Chinese and Roman Characters. In each individual's file the names are perfect and look great. Because both spellings are there it allows for the names to be easily searchable in both spellings. This is perfect.
The problem we are running into is sharing the names with the temples as the initial page/record/display of the individual is their name in Chinese characters. The temples would not know that if they opened these individuals pages that they would see the Roman characters. Consequently, these individuals records when sharing with the temple seem to be limited to the Taiwan and Hong Kong temples instead of being sent throughout. Many are waiting over 10+ years because only two temples can share in their names. But in reality, all can work on them as we have both spellings on their records. We have tried to switch and put the roman letters first and Chinese characters under, but something is wrong with the display and the names have no spaces between them (Roman characters) if we put the Roman characters as the lead spelling. Is there a way to fix this? We would really love this fixed so both spellings can be seen initially or we can put the Roman characters first and the spacing is correct. Our family is working on the temple work as well, but we have thousands of names and want to help them be completed. Thank you.

Please! This is a real problem even for working with one's own close Chinese family names! For anyone working with Chinese ancestors but who does not read Chinese characters, it becomes very time-consuming and difficult to know who you are working with without the Romanized name being visible (it can't be seen on any pedigree or descendancy view, in temple reservation lists - or anywhere except on the individual person page and the printed family temple card! We used to be able to put the Romanized letters into the Chinese character line beside the appropriate Chinese characters so at least those names show on pedigree views and reservation lists, but recent changes made it impossible to print temple cards until the Romanized characters are deleted from the Chinese character line. Please help make this more descendant- friendly around the world!!
