Need person detail page AND record page open for comparison.
When viewing details of a person, then clicking a link under Research Help, a window opens at the right. When clicking View Record, the record page opens. But, the person detail page is no longer shown. I would be better if the the view record page would open in a new window so the person detail page is visible to compare info between the two pages.
Furthermore, once you have attached the record to the family tree, you cannot go back to the person detail page.
You can, of course, "right mouse click" on View Record and select open in new window, but not everyone knows that.
Better yet, split the screen so the person details are shown on the left (without the column showing research help, search records, etc.), and the record page on right so the two "pages" are side-by-side for comparison. This would make it much easier to see if a record matches, and therefore avoiding huge mistakes!

I automatically right-click everything on FS, so I hadn't noticed the (mis-)behavior of that button.
However, you can get back to the profile from Source Linker. The link is at the top of the page: "Go To: Record | [Name]".

This skill falls in the category of basic browser skills such as opening the browser, quitting the browser, back arrowing, forward arrowing, and clicking on links. Since there are web standards on how left and right clicking should behave and since, at least in Safari, you can override default behaviors with user settings:
it is probably best the FamilySearch stick with current web standards and user set browser function as much as possible.

Another reason that FamilySearch should try to stick to web standards and expect users to learn how their browsers work best for them is that they have to have the website work for users on an 11" tablet, users on two 27" monitors, and everything in between.
