Allow detailed updates from Record Attachment page
When I'm attaching references, and I'm adding a reference like a baptismal date, I've noticed that sometimes the birthdate is listed in the baptismal reference, but only a year is listed for the individual.
It would be great to be able to overwrite the date and location in the reference screen directly, using the data from the reference, instead of manually editing the individual name/date/location from the person's "Detail" screen.
A similar desire would be to update/correct the person's name (especially the maiden name), which seems to be indexed in most of the sources, but not recognized when creating a new individual.
This is the screen I'm talking about, although it doesn't show the condition I'm concerned about (assume Johan's birth record only showed 1808: I'd like to see an 'Add' button or an 'Edit' button on this screen).

The request to combine Source Linker and profile editing is often repeated. The problem is, you cannot see everything you need to see, when you're in Source Linker: it doesn't even show you that that baptism is already entered under Christening, never mind the reason statements and alert notes and half-dozen sources showing why the apparently-less-correct birthdate is actually as correct as it can be.

I have a serious issue with requests that want everything to be quicker/easier. What it boils down to is wanting to connect/attach without research.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile, I know what you mean, but at least for the ones asking to edit in Source Linker, there's a charitable explanation: they want to make it easier to enter the results of their research. They just haven't thought through all of the repercussions of re-purposing a tool like that.
