Add "Sopranome" and "Dit" to the "Other Information Field"

According to your work instructions, you can add "alternate names" to the "Other Information Field"

The only choices are: Also Known As, Birth Name, Married Name, and Nickname

I would like to suggest that you add "Sopranome" to the drop-down menu, which is the Italian tradition for identifying families by family groups. And add "Dit" to the drop-down menu, which is the French/French-Canadian tradition for identifying families groups.

Or - the 2 items could be combined into a single "Dit / Sopranome"

There must be a BUNCH of French, French-Canadian and Italian names entered into FamilySearch that could use this function.

Thank you,

In English, the name for all of those categories/groupings is "Also Known As" -- although if you switch the interface language to Italian, "Soprannome" is used for "Nickname".

The searching and hinting algorithms don't actually care what you choose for the type of name. You could enter a dozen alternate names on a profile and choose "Birth Name" for all of them; the system wouldn't notice.
