Family Group Memory contributions
What are you trying to accomplish? Why?
The difficulties with Memories edits/tags is often discussed here in Community. The competing issue of owner contribution can complicate Community edits. If Memories and Profiles for that matter could show edits as 'from a Family Group' - with perhaps a public reference to how many/accounts belong to such groups. Such contributions/tags could indicate group collaborative agreement - such that others will know near family agreement on displayed/tagged information.
What is the challenge or roadblock you are encountering?
I have inherited or have access to a significant amount of family photos/records. I have contributed many but would like the contribution to show from a Family Group - such that any within the family group have the same shared access/edit privileges. Currently such is not an option. I would also like to see the Family Group be able to request that the download option be removed - this will respectfully preserve Family Group distribution right - reducing unpermitted duplications (should the Family Group adopt such a policy).
What is your idea?
Rootstech 2023 indicated the possibility that this option - Family Group shared workspace - is being worked on. Can this be confirmed - that such a feature will result?
How would solving this challenge improve your experience?
It might be able to solve edit/tagging requests from more distant relations ... Join the group and gain access and give feedback on the Memories you feel need correction/edit?
