Sources Page buggy - Unusable
When I go to a person's sources page, the website crashes.
Specifically, the webpage tries to refresh a bunch of times and eventually I get a 502 bad gateway error.

Your link goes to a Person page, rather than a record.
It is not reloading for me. I recommend you try a different browser. If that works, then clearing your cookies/cache in your preferred browser should resolve the problem.

This is happening to me too. Any source page continuously reloads. I've tried clearing cookies and data, and have tried several browsers.

It happens to me too for every "Sources" page except one. It only started happening less than an hour ago. Happens with Chrome and Firefox. Did anything change?

Same problem here starting this morning (4/25). Every Sources page does this. Tried multiple browsers. I sent email to nasupport@familysearch.org reporting the problem, so hoping they fix it quickly.

Oy. Very, very weird.
It doesn't happen on my 4ggf (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/L8XV-YSB), but does on my 2ggm (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/LBWJ-8M3) and 5ggf (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/L88V-Y6K).
I had my 4ggf's profile open (though not to the Sources tab) earlier today; I wonder if that's why it's not happening on his page (for me)?

I see no way to reply to individual answers. Clearing history did no good. Of course the link went to my person page. The source page is all screwed up. I have played with my ad blockers in the pass and it has stopped. But no pattern. Glad you all have the problem too. Now maybe it will get fixed. Thanks to all. Richard.

@reneerobbgushen1, there's a brand-new glitch that showed up in the past half an hour or so. Nobody from "On High" has responded (yet), hopefully because they're too busy fixing it.

I just have a simple issue with a corrupt source. It is causing two persons' source lists to refresh repeatedly, making them unreadable. I just want to report it to somebody so it can be fixed.
How can we do that?

Same problem here. It seems it has to do with the dates (left column) as they are all blank.

I'm having the same experience! I've tried both Chrome and Edge, and it's only the Source tab with a problem. The screen redisplays over and over again for anyone I look at.

@WCummings53, it's a widespread new glitch that's happening to nearly everybody: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/144079/familysearch-records-source-page-continually-reloads#latest. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

Today, April 25 2023 11:15 am All of the sources dates on all profiles have dropped off, and the sources pages are resetting every 2-3 seconds.
Added: not on all profiles, but some including Daniel Joseph Huntley L85F-17S; after about 2 minutes the system stops continuous resetting, but as soon as I add an entry and press enter, the continuous resetting starts all over again.

I wonder if anybody can help on a technical issue (I think). I am trying to access the source page for a Simon Spreckley url: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/K6WD-LYQ. When I try to access the page to look at the sources the page starts to open then closes, then tries again to open, but closes....repeatedly in a sort of loop. Can anyone help me open the page so it stays open or can stop the 'loop'?

yes keeps refreshing as soon as it loads, very frustrating when I'm trying to detach a bunch of wrong records in order to attach them to the correct person, I guess I need to leave for today & fingers crossed it's fixed by tomorrow

When you are in the person page and click on the sources it a continues to refresh and you can't look at sources

No matter the profile that I am on, any time I go to the sources page for a particular person, it just keeps continuously refreshing. I have tried restarting my computer as well as using other browsers (even incognito/private windows), but I have the same issue across the board.

I came to the forums to report the same problem. I see the problem running the latest version of Windows 10 in Firefox and Chrome, so I opened up Edge (112.1.1722.58, latest version) and saw the problem there as well. It definitely seems to be server side since I don't ever use Edge so there are no extensions, cache or cookies there to speak of (and just to be sure I cleared any cookies/cache/history I might have had in Edge and tried again, getting the same result afterward).
If others are not experiencing this issue, I could take a gif and upload later, but the original post has a good description: any time you go to the source page on a person's record (the one linked in the post or any other I've looked at today), it starts to load, displays the full list of sources, immediately refreshes the page, then repeats. This loops on for as long as I let it before clicking to a different tab like Details or About. I tried blocking scripts, pop-ups, formatting, etc to no avail. The only thing that seemed to do anything was blocking JS entirely which just brought up a "something went wrong. Please refresh the page." message.
