Marriage records link errors

Often when attaching marriage records to the bride and groom's parents, the program will often automatically attach the parents' names to the opposite parent. (i.e. the father's name will want to automatically attach to the mother's name and vis-a-versa.) The program does not allow me to switch the names around to the correct parent, so I just leave them unattached. When I switch to the other half of the married couple, then the program allows me to move that spouse's respective parents to their correct place to attach the record to them.

It would be helpful if there was a way\I was able to switch the names of the parents around from where the program automatically puts them when it is incorrect.

I don't know if it is related but perhaps the parent positions in Tree need to be switched?

You can use the Change buttons and the ID box to fix the order. I'll show how to do this in the opposite direction.

First move the father on the left side to be the focus person:

Then copy the mother's ID on the right hand side and use the ID to change her position on the right hand side:

Using the ID forces the order and overrides Source Linker's sometimes less than helpful automatic ordering of the individuals in records.
