Memories Format

I either missed the explanation or it wasn't given, but why the change in format for the Memories page? It is too busy, takes too long to switch to stories, documents or pictures and doesn't show the full picture without bringing it up individually. Why the change? Why not allow us to use the old format?

Yes, the New Person Page has been in the works and open for comment over the past year, and banner alerted for 3 months prior to retirement.

You can still give your feedback at the New Person Page group and attempt to gain support for driving future changes - but the announcement indicates the Group may be closed any day now.

The reason for the changes is discussed in the Announcement above (New Person Page is Here to Stay). The Memories section of profiles never displayed the full picture/document without bringing them up - that part hasn't changed (at least that's my recollection).
