Add "Partner" or "Business Associate" in "Other Relationships" section

I am generally not in favour of FamilySearch introducing these relationship indicators, as I see Family Tree as a place to record ones genealogy - not all your friends, neighbours, teachers, fellow-churchgoers, etc. etc. Where does it all stop, and how many individuals do you end-up being linked to?
However, on this specific point, I do see a good reason for your raising this. At present, there is only an "Employer / Employee" relationship available (which can be switched to/from the focus person). Surely, if you are going to have an "Employment" option it should allow for being able to add workmates and (as you suggest) partners / business associates?

I agree. I have inherited a business ledger from 1830s to Civil War of a store owned by an ancestor. In it is recorded the names of people who engaged in wholesale transactions, buying and delivering bulk quantities of bacon, clothing, barrel stays, you name it. I assume this stuff was delivered to his store. He also seemed to have contracted people to provide services, such as digging a well, or delivering goods somewhere else. I have been digitizing it and looking up the recorded names. I have found most names are in FamilySearch and I've tagged the images to their memories. I plan to go back and use the new other relationship to connect these business partners, but as you say, there is not a good choice to use which describes this kind of relationship.

I somewhat agree with Paul - where would the other relationship types stop? Who is my neighbor? I think both Paul and Kevin are my neighbors. Maybe we are supposed to use Neighbor as the catch-all. Perhaps the ability to add a Custom user-defined type would be the solution?
Other Information> Facts does allow you to add Custom Facts and Business Partner could be done there. I just don't know how FamilySearch will stop the requests for more relationship types now that it has introduced the feature.
Side-Note: The new 'edit every field' indexing app is quite powerful in types of relationships one can add/select. Perhaps that is the direction FamilySearch is heading for Other Relationships.
P.S. I think these Ideas are supposed to be under New Person Page group - since they discuss a new feature that we are giving feedback on?
