The Hungarian genealogy society's generalized surname search gives zero hits for "Makati", but quite a few for "Makádi", with a large proportion of them in Tass, Bács-Kiskun county (https://macse.hu/db/dbf.php?ln=Mak%C3%A1di&lang=hu&btnPolg=MACSE+Keres%C5%91). However, the vital records of the parent of someone alive today are likely to be too recent to be public, so it would be good to have the names (and at least a few dates and places) for your grandparents.
