Christenings/Baptism/Confirmations
If a Christening record with name, date and location is found in “Research Help” or by a Patron's research, Family Search adds the information to the ancestor's “Vital Information.” Provided the Christening meets the date requirements, there is no other information required to print a Temple Card or to share with the Temple.
That is not the case for a Baptism (often a Christening by another name) or a Confirmation. These two are added to "Other Information" and are not sufficient to print a Temple Card.
If Baptism and/or Confirmation data is in fact sufficient to make an individual "Temple Ready" (If they do not, that’s another opportunity for reviewed), is it possible to create additional fields for them in “Vital Information”? Then link the fields to "Research Help" so when found and accepted they automatically populate the appropriate slot in "Vital Information”? The current configuration leads patrons to use work-arounds and best guesses for their ancestors opening the door to errors, or in the alternative, when the information is allowed to reside in "Other Information, " delay for an Ancestor’s Temple work.
