findagrave issues?
i searched for a relative on familysearch, and it pointed me to record(s) on findagrave. but i encountered 2 problems:
1) i clicked on the link, but findagrave said "invalid memorial id". i think this problem may have been reported before, and could be a problem with formatting of the link.
2) when i searched for the person's name directly on findagrave, it couldn't find any records, even though i know there are supposed to be at least 2 burials for that name (KLEIN Imre). this seems to be an odd sort of data problem, where records have been lost at findagrave.
is there a fix?

The memorial may have been removed since the last time FamilySearch refreshed the record set. The contributor on Findagrave may have removed it or it may have been merged with another for the same person.

This is almost certainly what happened.
I've run into the same issue you did (bad FindAGrave URL). Unfortunately we're not allowed to edit those listings and there is no option on the listing page to report the problem.
Regarding your lost FindAGrave's listing: FindAGrave's search can be klunky to use and it's possible there is a listing there but you weren't able to turn it up.
I'm newish here but I imagine you can post the person's info and one of us would be happy to dig around. I'm unsure if posting it here is fine or if it belongs elsewhere (eg: Search). Billion Graves might also have a listing.

thank you for your help. but…
i did include the name, Imre KLEIN, dob 1909, and buried in the kozma utca cemetery in budapest. family search registers 2 hits, one died 1934 and one in 1937, both buried in that cemetery. searching findagrave directly doesn’t find either one. (and the cemetery’s website confirms both people, btw. with plot numbers, but i’m looking for the inscriptions on their gravestones.)
a merge doesn’t make sense, because findagrave comes up with NO hits for that name. and why would they just remove 2 different 90-year old burials? and i couldn’t find them on billiongraves either.
if you have more luck with the databases, please let me know!

Sometimes you need to check with the names switched, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Find A Grave does have twenty-some matches to Imre Klein, but I haven't a clue whether any of them are "yours" (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/search?firstname=Imre&middlename=&lastname=Klein&birthyear=&birthyearfilter=&deathyear=&deathyearfilter=&location=&locationId=&memorialid=&mcid=&linkedToName=&datefilter=&orderby=r&plot=&page=1#sr-202706737). (Their count is 34, but that includes a couple of instances of Klein Imréné "Mrs. Imre Klein" and a bunch with just an initial I.)

Profiles on Findagrave, like FamilySearch, are created by contributors. An individual contributor may delete a memorial at any time. I remember when Findagrave was sold to Ancestry, a large number of contributors packed up all their toys and went home. Any contributor can decide to remove an entry at any time. Any contributor can report a duplicate, and Findagrave will evaluate and merge.

thanks for the tip about first name last, which is always good to remember with hungarian records. “Imrené” is also good for a laugh, since it’s often mistaken for a feminine form (like Josephine or something).
btw, this isn’t my first problem with the kozma utca cemetery in budapest; findagrave seemed to have the entire cemetery duplicated under 2 different names. now it seems fixed, in a way…

It looks like a contributor must have removed a bunch of his/her contributions from Find A Grave. It's either that, or stuff got lost in the clean-up of the Kozma street cemetery records, but that seems less likely.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anybody's put the cemetery on BillionGraves -- they have a grand total of 7 Kleins in Kozma utca.
You could try putting in a request for a photo on Find A Grave, using the information from the Friends of Budapest Jewish Cemetery site.

what i’ve done with some other relatives is just add my own memorial. it’s not the best, because i’m just repeating unverified information, but it’s all i can do. i wish family search had a better interface to findagrave.

@DavidJohnson, if you read my latest comment from yesterday, you'll notice that I checked BillionGraves, and it does not really have this cemetery: "they have a grand total of 7 Kleins in Kozma utca." (A large Jewish cemetery like this ought to have dozens of people with the surname Klein.)

i think they were removed, rather than merged. (it wouldn't make sense to merge KLEIN Imre with some oher name, so there should still be at least one record for that name, and hopefully, similar informations.). thanks for the answer.
